Reiki is one of the oldest energy healing traditions on Earth - and science is finally beginning to catch up with what practitioners have known for generations.
Reiki is a gentle, hands-on (or remote) energy healing practice rooted in the understanding that everything in the body is energy- and that when that energy becomes stuck, suppressed, or depleted, we feel it. As stress, as pain, as disconnection, as that persistent sense that something is just... off.
A session creates a quiet, supported space for your nervous system to settle and your body's own healing intelligence to activate. There is nothing you need to believe, fix, or figure out. You simply receive.
Many people leave feeling deeply relaxed, emotionally lighter, or with a quiet clarity they didn't expect. Some experience warmth, tingling, or a sense of release. Some just fall asleep- which is its own kind of healing.
The Interstitial Discovery
Dr. Neil These, a pathologist an NYU, helped identify the interstitial - a fluid filled network running through the body that behaves electrically. Researchers believe it may be the physical basis for the meridians and energy pathways healers have described for thousands of years. When practitioners of Chinese medicine first saw this research, their response was: "This is what we've been talking about."
The Research
As of 2024, there are 140 published Reiki studies in peer-reviewed journals. A 2025 scoping review compiled 353 studies on bitfield therapies including 255 randomized controlled trials- finding consistent results for pain, anxiety, and overall wellbeing.
In Hospitals
All hospitals currently offering Reiki report it to be at least "somewhat beneficial" - with 67% rating it "highly beneficial." Reiki is now offered at major medical centers across the US.

We begin with a few minutes to settle in- no need to explain everything, just arrive as you are.
During the session you rest comfortably, fully clothed, while I work with your energy field using light touch or slightly above the body. Sessions are quiet and gentle. Most people experience deep relaxation within the first few minutes.
Afterward we take a few minutes to integrate. I may share what I noticed and offer simple practices to support you in the days that follow.
Do I have to believe in it for it to work?
No. Reiki doesn't require belief- just openness. Many of my most skeptical clients have had the most profound experiences. Your body responds whether or not your mind is fully on board.
How is remote Reiki possible?
Quantum research on non-local energy and biofield transmission is beginning to offer frameworks for what practitioners have experienced for decades- that healing energy is not limited by physical distance. I offer both in person and distance sessions with equal confidence.
What if I don't feel anything?
That's completely okay. Reiki works on a level that doesn't always announce itself. May clients notice the real effects in the days after- better sleep, emotional ease, a sense of lightness they can't quite explain.
